Some pests are carriers of disease. Many destroy and contaminate foods stuff, gnaw at electrical cables, damage pipes and damage buildings. They are often the cause of fire, floods and prosecution due to breaches of the legislation.

Pest identification Service

We provide free advice and pest identification service. If you would like to use this service please bring a sample of the pest to the one stop shop at the Civic Centre or post it to us. Please ensure the sample you provide is:

  • dead and preferably whole (undamaged)
  • transported in a clear strong, sealed, unbreakable container (eg clear film canister, plastic box), marked with your name, address and telephone number
